With Catch Photo, I took an early-stage concept and shaped it into an AI automotive imaging platform built to standardize vehicle photography, improve listing consistency, and turn a complex capture workflow into a clear, intuitive product experience.

OVERVIEW.
CHALLENGE.
I wasn’t stepping into an existing product. What I had in front of me was an early idea and an opportunity to turn it into something much more defined. I saw real value in standardizing how vehicles are photographed so the final images would look far more consistent across sale listings. For dealerships and used-vehicle sellers, that meant reducing variation between users, shooting angles, and on-site conditions, while making the process simple enough to use with little to no training.
APPROACH.
My role was to shape the product from the ground up: defining the overall flow, thinking through how capture should work, and developing the logic behind features such as background removal, shadow generation, vehicle-specific image refinement, wheel enhancement, and 3D background behavior. I also spent a lot of time developing the capture guide system itself, using real-world testing, practical photography scenarios, and actual dimensions to make sure the experience felt both consistent and easy to follow.
OUTCOME.
What came out of that process was much more than an app concept. I helped shape a complete product ecosystem made up of a mobile app and a connected web panel, with synchronized vehicle data and additional functionality available across both environments. The result was a strong product foundation: defined flows, working feature logic, clear capture rules, and a direction that proved capable of supporting practical use at a larger operational scale.
